Qiche will recieve a total of $2,000.00 dollars from his medical insurance to cover the cost of the living equipment he will now require. The wheel chair Qiche will need costs upwards of $30,000.00 dollars itself. as of right now he will have to steer it with his chin. As one can imagine their will be countless other equipment expenses and costly lifestyle changes that Qiche will have to pay for as well. And this is where we come in... Our goal is to raise $80,000.00 dollars, which will be just enough to get Qiche properly equiped, moved into a wheel chair accessible home in california, and have a small nest egg which he may live off of. And the sooner we can secure this money the less Qiche has to focus on something other than his health and a quick recovery...

The tone in Qiche's voice is natural and one of strength, his mind is overflowing with creativity and witticism. Qiche is healing. He is now breathing on his own and working on moving his shoulders and upper arms more readily. Qiche is prepared for the next length in his long road to recovery, and would like to thank everyone for their genuine love and concern for his well being.
Please keep sending flowers and cards, they are helping. (a nurse in the ICU in omaha said she had "never seen anyone recieve so many flowers", another nurse would wander into Qiche's room late at night just to smell the flowers.)
